Range Rover Evoque to Create More Jobs at Halewood

Range Rover Evoque to Create More Jobs at Halewood

The Jaguar Land Rover plant in Halewood not too far from us here at Gap Insurance 123, has announced that the success of the Range Rover Evoque amongst other models could lead to the addition of 1,000 more jobs.

The UK Car Manufacturing industry has gone from strength to strength in the last number of years as last year a number of production records were broken. Nissan smashed the production record for one single plant in the UK, as the North East plant in Sunderland produced over 500,000 cars due to the success of the Nissan Qashqai and Juke amongst others.

It has been rumoured that a convertible Range Rover Evoque model has lead to the supposed appointment of 1,000 new recruits as the Evoque looks to capitalise on the success of previous years.

The Range Rover Evoque model currently accounts for nearly 50% of the Jaguar Land Rover sales figures as models keep selling throughout. The Jaguar Land Rover firm has experienced a rise in popularity within China and America as the models keep selling. The interest from America came as no surprise, as the previous Range Rover Sport model had its best spell in the American car market. However, the success in China did come as a surprise.

The New Range Rover Sport model was a hit at the New York Motor Show as British actor Daniel Craig drove the model through Manhattan and into the show. Jaguar Land Rover have reported sales of over 210,000 models up to June of this year and since the addition of the Range Rover Sport, figures are expected to at least double by the end of 2013.

The addition of 1,000 jobs is not only good for the Range Rover Evoque or those at Jaguar Land Rover, but to the local economy within Merseyside and the North West.
