The S-Cross was unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show in March and will be available with either an 118 brake horsepower 1.6 litre petrol engine or 118 brake horsepower 1.6 litre diesel. The car as standard is front wheel drive, though if you opt for the SZ-T or SZ5 trim, then you have the option of ALLGRIP four wheel drive system.

A five speed manual gearbox or CVT transmission on SZ5 models is available with the petrol engine, whilst the diesel engine is only available with a six speed manual gearbox.

Suzuki claim that the two wheel drive manual Petrol S-Cross model will return 51.3 miles per gallon and emit 127g with a manual transmission, or 125g with the CVT. The four wheel drive petrol manual is claimed to return 47.8 miles per gallon and emit 135g, whilst the CVT version can manage 49.5 miles per galon and emits 130g.

The two wheel drive diesel model has a claimed return of 67.2 miles per gallon and emits 110g of CO2, whilst the ALLGRIP four wheel drive model is said to return 64.2 miles per gallon and emits 114g.
