Pictures of the brand new
Mazda 3 have been leaked and can be found on the internet and they reveal a design that is inspired by the Mazda 6 Saloon. The Mazda 3 has been seen in design drawings and from sneaky spy shots, now however a Japanese magazine have leaked the very first pictures of the hatch, which rivals the Volkswagen Golf.
The headlights are swept back and slow into the chromed grille of the Mazda, which creates a face that looks completely lifted in comparison to the latest
Mazda 6 Saloon. There is a bulge that sweeps over the front wheelarch of the vehicle and to the rear a set of narrow taillights, which are all the latest trademarks of Mazda design.
On the interior of the vehicle is expected a step up in quality to help this model stay competitive with the latest MK 7 Volkswagen Golf. The driving experience will fit with the Jinba Ittai ideology from Mazda, which is a Japanese phrase which means that the rider and horse feel connected. This means that all of the major controls of the vehicle, including the steering will feel natural and responsive.
The
Mazda 3 is going to get all of the fuel efficient SkyActive innovations whcih have been debuted in models such as the Cx-5 and 6. There will be a greater use of high tensile steel which will cut weight with the vehicle, whilst new economical engines that are fitted with stop start will be offered. Drivers can expect to see a 1.6 litre diesel engine which offers around 80 miles per gallon fuel economy and CO2 emissions of 95g or below.
There have been no details of a release date or pricing as of yet, though it is expected that the official details of the model will be released within the next couple of months. The car is likely to have a starting price of about £16,000 and the car should be on sale in the United Kingdom by the end of the year.
