Infiniti Plan to Rival the Nissan Leaf

Infiniti Plan to Rival the Nissan Leaf

Infiniti as we all know is the luxury vehicle division of Nissan and the option of offering a luxury and supreme version of the Nissan Leaf. Nissan will use the Infiniti brand in the complete opposite way Renault have used the Dacia brand.

The Dacia brand has quickly become the budget brand in the market and has been a success in the current European Car Market. However, the Infiniti brand will be the luxury brand of the next century. A deal was nearly struck to develop the Infiniti range at the hugely successful Nissan Sunderland plant, however, due to the success of the plant Nissan have decided to dedicate the plant purely to developing Nissan models.

The New Infiniti rival to the Nissan Leaf will be a completely different offering in the way of the design of the Interior and Exterior. Nissan along with Infiniti have developed induction technology which will see the use of charge up cables become somewhat extinct. The idea of not plugging in cables and dragging around cables will increase the feel of luxury motoring.

Infiniti along with Nissan are pushing for other manufacturers to develop their own induction technology rather than investing in their own systems. The Nissan Leaf model was the front runner in the electric car industry and has recently been forced to re design and re develop after a flush of rival models entered the market.

BMW have only recently developed a new i-Range of models to rival the likes of the Nissan Leaf and Mercedes have also followed suit. Nissan have promised over 100 changes on the new Leaf model after the addition of other models seemed to slow in sales. Infiniti along with Nissan will look to develop the electric car industry and will look to the likes of the UK government to try and build the electric car infrastructure within markets such as the UK.
