Renault Confirm Alpine Link to Alfa
Renault announced not so long ago a deal which will see them team up with Caterham in the production of a new Alpine sports car. The Renault Alpine model will look to rival the Alfa Romeo 4C which is released later on this year.
Fiat have looked to the Alfa Romeo brand as a source of success and profit for the future after what was a disappointing year of sales. Renault along with Fiat have seen sales slump in the last 12 months due to the situation that was the European Car Market. The year of 2012 was a success for the Dacia brand at Renault which may have been the deciding factor in keeping the company in profit.
The success of Dacia has forced other manufacturers such as Fiat to look at other ways of entering the market as well as replicating the success that was Dacia in 2012. The return of the Alfa Romeo Sports Coupe was a well thought out move as it looks to enter markets world wide rather than focusing on the European market.
The New Renault Alpine Caterham sports car will look to battle with the Alfa Romeo 4C on the market and will eventually look to challenge the Porsche and Lotus branded models out there on the market. The Alpine model will have a number of specialist dealers available in a number of countries worldwide and will also look to re enter the motor racing stage.
The Alpine Caterham model has been announced that a return is imminent and could be as soon as the Silverstone round of the Le Mans series. The engine is a question on everyone's lips and the answer is …. the engine will come from the Renault and Nissan Alliance plan and is believed to be a four cylinder turbo mounted engine
