Skoda have today revealed brand new 'Edition' versions of some of their most popular vehicles on the market today. The company have revealed that the Octavia,Fabia,Yeti and Rapid will all receive the treatment which will see new features added both outside and inside of the cars. No engine changes have been announced for the special edition models which have been designed to celebrate 120 years of existence for the company and will also celebrate the launch of L and K vehicles that were launched just ten years after. The Czech firm have announced that all four of these freshly designed models will be on full display in Geneva when the big motoring event gets underway from next week. Fear not though as we have the information on the new components added both inside and outside of the cars. Some of the main exterior design changes to be thrown into the mix include brand new alloy wheel designs, smoke designs on the headlights, tinted glass windows and mirrors which will now come in the same colour design as the body structure of the car. Skoda are yet to announce what cost will come along with these special edition vehicles but we expect this to be revealed at the big event next week.

Takata are fined for airbag issues

The issue of Takata air bags failing and causing injuries and fatalities over the past year has been a very big topic in the world of motoring and today we have even more developments on this story. The Takata company who offer the airbags to more than ten manufacturers involved with these recalls are now being fined for every day that they refuse to communicate with federal officers in the United States of America. The big majority of these recalls and failures on air bags are located in America especially where conditions are humid. Takata have been refusing to co operate with federal officials in America over more recalls that they still have not issued but the department of transportation has announced that for each day the company refuse to act on these recalls and fail to communicate, then they will be given a fine of $14,000 per day which equals to around £9,121 here in the United Kingdom. Takata have still not responded to this big news which could potentially lead to even more action being taken against the company in the future as stated by the department of transportation.

New information on a Porsche EV to rival Tesla has emerged

The news of an all electric Porsche vehicle that will be designed in order to go against the Tesla brand broke last week when reports suggested that a new model could be launched in the future badged as the 717. A very popular magazine here in the UK however has published a story on the brand new vehicle which shows that the new car could be all set to go on sale from the year 2019. New information published in the magazine also shows that around 600 brake horse power could be the ending result in power produced by the 717, it will come with a four door layout and will be a permanent four wheel drive vehicle. A total mileage of around 250 miles from one singular charge is expected to be revealed by Porsche when the car is revealed but for the time being, there is no time-scale revealed as to when we can expect to see this happen.
