Toyota launch the new GT86 Aero

Japanese brand Toyota are currently celebrating the success of orders in Japan on their brand new Mirai FCV model which has surpassed orders by considerable amounts. What about the brands current range of vehicles on the road though and how could they improve upon them?. Well that is where the launch of the all new GT 86 Aero model comes into play. The GT 86 is one of the sportiest vehicles that the firm have to offer. It first became available on the road in 2012 and here we are three years later and the company are adding new components and parts to the vehicle with the Aero model being the ending result. The car has just gone on sale and we have all of the information that you could possibly need on the car right here.

A look at the changes brought along with the GT 86 Aero

So what is it that Toyota have brought to the table with this brand new addition and why could it be considered as one of the best vehicles of this year?. So first off we take a look at the power source for the car. The engine has remained unchanged as we see the two litre boxer engine carry over producing 197bhp. Much like before, it is offered with the six speed, manual transmission in a rear wheel drive format. The new highlights that help the car to stand out though are new fittings and pieces of kit. New eighteen inch alloy wheels are included this time aswell as automatic headlights and a keyless entry system. There are however optional extras that you as the buyer can choose from. These include all new side skirts located around the bottom of the Aero and a new rear wing is also an optional extra.

The GT 86 has proven to be a popular alternative to that of the Nissan 370Z Nismo and the Focus ST range from Ford but with no engine changes and just extra kit does it mean that Toyota will finish above these two competitors?. We think this could very well be the case as the engine proved to be a popular choice for customers of the standard GT 86 who praised the engine used. New equipment and better value for money also results in a tough challenge from Toyota.

For how much can you own a new GT 86 Aero?

For a basic entry level model of the GT 86 Aero, the firm have made the car available at £22,495. With all optional extras included with the car, you could expect to hand over £28,245. The GT 86 Aero is available now and can be bought from Toyota Showrooms around the United Kingdom.
