New BMW X7 2018

BMW X7 4x4

It is believed that the BMW firm will be developing a new X7 SUV model that will be released in 2018. The new BMW X7 will be released in the next 5 years with the X7 being the leader of the new SUV range of models.

Major BMW rivals, Volkswagen have been the major leaders in the SUV market over the last number of years with the Tiguan models and sub brands such as Audi and Porsche also achieving a high number of sales.

The Audi brand have been the leading brand with models such as the Q7 and with Porsche the Macan model amongst others have inspired the firm to change their belief. The Porsche firm along with Volkswagen have inspired the firm to make the switch from being a premium sports car manufacturer to being a luxury mass market manufacturer.

BMW have recently fallen behind in the race to become the number one luxury car manufacturer as rivals over at Audi take advantage of the Chinese and the US car markets.

On the other hand, the former number one German mass market manufacturer have entered the electric car market with the new i-Range of models. The new i-3 model has recently missed out on the car of the year as the Peugeot 308 ran out with the victory.

The i-3 and the i-8 model has been deployed by the BMW brand to be the major competitors to the success of the Nissan Leaf. The Nissan Leaf has been the best selling model in the electric car market and many of the worlds top manufacturers including BMW will be looking to claim back vital market share from the Nissan model.

The new BMW X7 model will have the choice of two engines including the V8 and the V12 with a hybrid e drive model also to be thought to be in developmental stages.
