Koenigsegg Agera One:1

Celebrating it's 20th birthday this year, Koenigsegg have revealed a new hypercar, the Agera One:1, just for the occasion. The Swedish car brand  are all set to unveil their new model at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show this week, claiming that the model is too great to be classed as a hypercar and should be called the “world's first megacar.”

The One:1 name is derived form the fact that the model produces a 1:1 power to weight ratio, with the model's power being at 1,341 brake horse power and the model weighing 1,341kg.

The Koenigsegg Agera One:1 specs

Power for the 'megacar' comes from a twin turbo charged 5.0 litre V8 engine which is capable of producing 1,341 brake horse power and 1,011lb/ft of torque. This power is sent to the wheels through a seven speed dual clutch gearbox and the electronically controlled differential makes sure all the power gets to the wheels.

While the company claim that top speed was not a factor while creating the Agera One:1, the model can reach a simulated top speed of 273mph, which would make it the world's fastest production vehicle if it weren't for the fact that only six models will be built and the Guinness World Record can only apply to a vehicle with 30 production units sold.

The Koenigsegg Agera One:1 styling and tech

The body and chassis of the One:1 is made from a new type of carbon fibre which is 20% lighter than what was previously used on the company's other models.

The new model is equipped with features made from 3D printing, with variable geometry turbos in custom, 3D printed housings and a 3D printed titanium exhaust. With the One:1 supposed to be a “track focused car”, the Swedes claim 2Gs of cornering capability on road legal tyres, thanks to 1,345lbs of downforce at 160mph from an active rear wing and independent, active left and right front flaps.

In addition to those aids, the ride height, dampers and spring rates all adjust with car's speed. The chassis can predict the road ahead using GPS and drivers can even study telemetry later with a 3G connection s

ending the car's data to an iPhone app. With these perfect attributes in mind we believe that this vehicle will have some good contending rivals from other brands expertise in technology such as the likes of, Porsche,Audi and BMW.

Despite seeming like the next automotive on par with the Bugatti Veyron, the vehicle has yet to be driven by anyone outside of Koenigsegg just yet.

The interior of the Agera One:1 resembles a race car with a set o

f racing style bucket seats and an in-car screen that triples up as a GPS system, infotainment system and as a tool for “Predictive Active Track Mode” to help you around the track. Unfortunately for those looking to but the Koenigsegg Agera One:1 model, all six production vehicles are already spoken for.
