The Citroen C4 Picasso

The Citroen C4 Picasso

The New Citroen C4 Picasso is set to arrive during the summer of this year and yet the growing demand for the vehicle seems to be continuing. Whilst Renault look to abandon the Espace, Citroen have backed the C4 Picasso 100%.

The Picasso model has been likened to the Espace due to its window based frame. The amount of light flowing through the car is similar to that of the previous Espace model, the slim pillars and large windscreen has somewhat become the popular feature on the larger MPV models.

There will be twin dashboard screens which give the model a futuristic feel and technological flourish. The two screens will be both touch screen features and will have the ability to control anything from the radio to the air conditioning. The top specification model will have the 12 inch colour display for both the speed and the cruise control option on the vehicle.

Citroen have promised to offer the best in class C02 emissions for the 1.6 litre e -Hdi model. The higher specification model is set to be unveiled at the Geneva motor show which is due to take place in a number of weeks.

Citroen have looked to focus on C02 rates as it becomes a more important factor in the choice of a car. The French manufacturer has made some pure tech tweaks as they have been described to the existing Powertrains. They believe that such tweaks have the ability to reduce C02 outputs by as much as 25% across the range of models. Citroen have also been focusing on the DS range of models as the new diesel electric hybrid DS5 is set to account for as much as half of the DS sales figures.

The New Citroen C4 Picasso is due to go on sale this Summer and is believed to priced in the region of £20,000 which is the same price region to that of the rivalling crossover models. The Citroen C4 Grand Picasso model will be due sometime in 2014.
