The Infiniti ESQ ready for Chinese markets but will it arrive here ?

The Infiniti brand a company owned by Japanese manufacturer Nissan have revealed an all new vehicle which will see a grand launch on Chinese markets this year. The car is a rebadged version of the Nissan Juke Nismo and is being marketed under the name of the ESQ. At this moment in time the vehicle when it launches later on next year is only set to go on sale in China and nothing more has been stated regarding the vehicle coming overseas and going on sale across European markets. The rebadged vehicle is the Juke Nismo before it received its most recent facelift. The Juke is one of the vehicles that has brought in much custom and success to the Nissan company over the past few years alongside the big selling Qashqai SUV model. So can this re-branded,power based version of the prove to be just as much of a success for the Chinese market as the Juke ?.

How is the Infiniti ESQ looking so far ?

The Nismo version of the Juke was mainly focused on developing a stronger power display and performance abilities. That is also what drivers in China will receive with the ESQ as we see that the car will come fitted as standard with a 1.6 litre, turbocharged direct injection engine which will see a total power deliverance of 197 brake horse power which in total will see the car produce a top speed of 134 miles per hour with the leap from the get go to 62 miles per hour being made achievable in just 7.8 seconds. A CVT transmission will also come along with the car which is made available as a four wheel drive variant. Infiniti have confirmed that the interior cabin will remain unchanged from that of the older Juke version which will see the infotainment system, climate control and different driving modes made available for the ESQ.

The Nissan Juke here in Europe has been one of the top contenders for the number one spots in the SUV market ever since it was first introduced to the world in 2010. We have seen it provide other manufacturers such as the Toyota brand and Jeep with much competition over the years and now with the rebadged version of the car going on sale in China the doors to other manufacturers could soon be opened which could bring the Infiniti brand to a new level of success.

How much will the ESQ go on sale for in China ?

It has been confirmed by Infiniti that the car will go on sale later on this year in China and it will sell for a price equivalent to £19,500 here in the United Kingdom. So with that being said will there be any future plans to bring this version of the car over here to European markets and also with having the Juke Nismo already is it a vehicle that would do well over here ?.
