Infiniti reveal future technology and Fiat are pressured with recalls

The news regarding the vast amount of vehicle recalls due to faulty Takata air bags has been making the headlines in the car industry on a global scale over the past number of months. There has been a fault with these airbags which lead to the airbag not functioning in the correct manner and pieces of shrapnel from the system being fired into the faces of drivers. This fault has led to at least five fatalities around the world and has included vehicles from companies such as Honda and Nissan amongst many more. Fiat Chrysler are another firm who have been affected by these recalls and over the course of the past week, US regulators have been in contact with the company and have told them to speed up the process for issuing these recalls. Fiat were to start recalls mid way through the month of December however,The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration have sent a letter to the firm informing them to start the recall three weeks early. Takata parts and accessories which are needed in order to repair this problem have been announced to be sent out to Chrysler by the first of December and any owners facing the threat of these faulty airbags will be made aware of the issue by the same date.

Infiniti reveal the racing car of the future

A new glimpse into the future of racing style vehicles has been revealed by the Infiniti company who have shown their brand new design for the new 'Synpatiq' to the world. The car will give a glimpse into the future design direction in which the firm are looking to take their products. The companies team over in San Diego have had a lot of input on the design of the car which gives the driver a cockpit view by being strapped in to a docking station which would offer three different vehicle adaptations. It all sounds very futuristic we know and the images revealed of the car show it in much of that same light. It appears to have neon lights located around the car and looks similar body design wise to the cars used in the Formula 1. Infiniti have explained that it is not a race car but can be adapted for all different types of road surface including track and public roads. The main focus of the vehicle is to adapt new ways in which a drive can interact with their vehicle. The car is not in existence and is only something that Infiniti have designed for the time being. Don't expect to see this vehicle on sale in the future but it is believed that some of the technology used on the car may be carried over into some future designs for the mass manufacturer.
