Ferrari FXX K sells out, the Kia GT and Honda recall a further 3.2 million cars

It has been a busy weekend for sports car companies and selling out of popular vehicles. Porsche have done it this week after revealing their new limited edition Panamera and Italian sports car firm Ferrari are the next to do the same thing. It was on Friday that the brand officially revealed their brand new addition of the FXX K. This very special model is to be a very rare car for the company with around forty units being developed only according to an inside source in Ferrari. The price tag to come along with the FXX K comes roaring in at just over three million dollars working out here in the UK at close to the two million area. The model has been confirmed by Ferrari to only be used at official Ferrari track days and even though these days may be limited, this has proven not to be a problem for a lot of customers as every unit of the car has already been reserved by customers. The FXX K could be all set to be one of the quickest cars that Ferrari have on offer and we cant wait to see just what it is capable of doing on a track next year.

Are Kia to enter the sports car world with the GT?

In an interesting turn of events for Korean car brand Kia, the brand may be one step closer towards putting their sporty GT concept model into production in the future. Kia are well known for their range of city car and MPV models so it certainly would make for some interesting news if the GT is to make it into production. Our very first taste of the GT arrived in Frankfurt back in 2011 and it is believed that a launch time of 2018 could very much be expected for the car. A powerful V8 engine is expected to be fitted to the car with confirmation on this not received. Some of the latest in technology advances were shown in the GT concept three years ago which demonstrated fittings such as a 360 degree camera,a brand HUD display and a cruise control system. Nothing has been announced regarding the availability of the GT if it is to go on sale in the future or what countries would receive the car. The United States is the main country expected to receive the car but there is also high possibility that the GT sports car may also make its presence felt on the streets of the United Kingdom into the future.

Honda to issue a further 3.2 million recalls

The Takata air bag recalls have been one of the biggest stories in the car world for a long time now and since 2013 we have seen ten brands affected by the recalls due to faulty air bags and around eleven million vehicles recalled on a global scale. Five fatalities have been confirmed due to Takata air bags and in America alone this has resulted in at least thirty reported injuries. It was last week that Toyota issued a further recall on vehicles due to this matter and this week has confirmed that Honda are to recall a further 3.2 million units also. It is believed that it could take around two years from now for every affected vehicle to receive fixes and new part replacements.
