The range topping Porsche Boxster GTS

German car brand Porsche have officially put their brand new Boxster GTS model on sale here in the United Kingdom and across other markets world wide too and it is now the range topping addition in the current Boxster line up. The history of the Boxster can be traced back to 1996 which was when production on the first ever version of the car was began. There have been many variations of the car go on sale over the years which include limited edition models like the Spyder and the RS60 Spyder but this new GTS addition has been confirmed by the firm to be the highest model on the range as of now. The vehicle has those sports features that you can expect from Boxster models and these features rest within both the interior and exterior of the soft top car.

What will the GTS Boxster get you for your money?

So with our first look into the power and performance side of the car and what features we can expect to find in the GTS, Porsche during the cars time on the production line have included the standard fitting of a 3.4 litre, flat six engine which combined with the use of a standard six speed manual transmission system sees an overall power development of 325 brake horse power. The rear wheel drive will max out at a to speed limitation of 175 miles per hour and is therefore thanks to the engine and transmission system included is capable of making that well known sprint from the 0 to 62 miles per hour area in just an even five seconds flat.

There are some other changes made to the car to which include a lowered ground height which has been altered by 20mm and 20 inch alloy wheels. A set of PASM dampers are also included by Porsche as standard. Thanks to an optional seven speed PDK automatic transmission system the vehicle is also capable of keeping up with the brands own 911 cabriolet model and quick sports cars like the F Type from British car firm Jaguar and the Lotus Exige.

Porsche Boxster GTS price range

The standard cost for Boxster GTS model comes in at £52,879 as standard but if you decide to opt for the optional seven speed PDK gearbox you can expect a purchase price to come in at £55,230. The Boxster GTS is also available to purchase right now from Porsche dealerships/showrooms.
