The British Insurance Brokers Associaiton - (BIBA)
BIBA describe themselves as "The British Insurance Brokers’ Association (BIBA) is the UK’s leading general insurance intermediary organisation representing the interests of insurance brokers, intermediaries and their customers." data taken from the BIBA website Septmeber 2021.
BIBA was formed in 1977 when the then government via the Department of Trade and industry requested the industry moved to a single body. They now have over 1800 members who are all regulated firms. Statitcics from BIBA say the they produce 1% of GDP to the Uk economy and arrange 67% of all general insurance with a total premium spend of £65.1 billion and write 81% of all commercial insurance.
They are a prestigious single body advising and promoting British Insurance and as such it is an honour for Aequitas Automotive Limited trading as www.gapinsurance123.co.uk to have been a member for over a decade.

Very quick an easy, but the only slight disappointment is that is no where to get your existing customer discount on the web site. You have to phone for that and if you need the cover to start at the weekend you miss out. Shame.
