The latest SUV model from Volvo..

In news today regarding the Swedish manufacturer Volvo, we have heard some good things coming from road testers and purchasing customers alike, regarding the joys that are coming from XC60 SUV range from the brand. One of the latest machines to reach our roads here in the UK and across other parts of the world, is said to be a really good driving experience in terms of it's luxurious interior and smooth driving abilities. With so many models from other brands such as Toyota, Range rover and Volkswagen being considered as top rivals for the machine, it begs the question as to what is so special about this model, and what makes it stand out above the rest in the line of car.

What makes the XC60 stand out

As stated previously, there are a lot of rivals out there for the XC60 available on the market, and some of them being very good sellers, such as that of the Volkswagen Tiguan, it would take something extra special to make this model the king of the crop. So what's been used during the production process ? . Well firstly the engine of the SUV comes in the form of an option between three different choices. The first, in which the D4 model uses is a 2.0 litre diesel, secondly there is a five cylinder 2.4 litre diesel, and thirdly which seems to be the more popular choice is the 3.0 litre T6 petrol. The basic model comes in the form of a standard five seater, with higher spec designs coming fitted as seven seater's. All models of which come with plenty of interior leg room space, and a very spacious boot. The main changes in models you would notice straight away are the front and bonnet design changes in higher spec models. All available in the range come with a heated electric steering wheel which sound great, but it has been reported that the inclusion of the geartronic automatic gearbox is not such a good thing. All choices come with the standard fittings, such as, dual stage airbags, hill descent control and traction control. TFT dials and a brand new Centre console design are a great feature in terms of gadgets for the SUV designed  XC60 as well.

So what does the XC60 go for in dealerships and when can you drive one ?

Well we can confirm that the Swedish manufacturer have officially released the machine to the public right now, and is available for purchase at your nearest Volvo dealership right now. In terms of the price tag that comes along with the XC60 you can expect to pay the starting price of £31,110, anywhere up to £43,700.
