Ford to launch 15 New Vehicles

Ford to launch 15 New Vehicles

Ford announce the release of 15 new vehicles within the next 5 years and more importantly the majority of them will be powered by British built engines. Ford Executive Vice President Stephen Odell has stated that almost a third of all Ford models produced could be powered by British built engines.

Ford will look to invest in a whole host of new technologies to increase the product appeal along with the search for numerous experienced and different engineers. Odell also highlighted the skills of people within the UK currently out of work and going to waste. He stated that many within the UK have the right skills and qualifications to be working for Ford in the future and will also look to increase the appeal of working within the motor industry and the engineering sector.

Another point raised was of course the current condition of the European economy and more importantly the car market. Demand has somewhat disappeared within the European market, however, the UK car market has been the strongest out of all of Europe and remain a vital part of what Ford hope to achieve in the coming years. A spokesperson at Ford also stated that they expect the European economy to come out of the other side as long as they remain in the right business conditions.

Stephen Odell also made a clear statement to the rest of the mass market manufacturers out there in the automotive industry and those who operate in the European market in particular. He issued a statement which labelled the American way of automotive operations as the right way. The American car market has gone from strength to strength in the last number of years and has seen the economy continue to grow whilst the European economy suffers.

The American way is said to be the dramatic restructure of which the likes of Dodge, Ford and General Motors all had to do not so long ago. This restructure pays close attention to the production numbers and the manufacturing capability along with a total reshuffle of the range of models. Ford also used the likes of the Fiesta and the Focus as an example for how they managed to create two of the most successful models on the market today.
