The latest and greatest in motorcycle news

Yamaha have this week taken to the country of France which is where they revealed their brand new concept motorcycle. Interestingly enough, the new concept is a motorcycle which has been on sale for many years and has brought in some tremendous success for the brand and that is of course the MT-07. However the new model comes with a slight twist. It was revealed in a retro themed style. This meant that no fairing was used around the bike whatsoever with the engine on full display. It packed one of the thinnest exhaust pipes we have ever seen and also had a riders seat which folded over the back of the bike. If you're only a modern day motorcycle fan then the chances are that the classic MT-07 is not for you. If however you love your classics, its definitely worth taking a look at. The design of the bike is made completely from aluminium material and did not receive any paint work whatsoever. Yamaha did not confirm that this particular model would be making it onto their production line anytime in the future but they did state that this model will lead towards a new model further down the line which is presumably going to be retro themed.

Carrying on with concept motorcycles

To continue on the theme of concept motorcycles, BMW Motorrad have also joined Yamaha by revealing a new design. The brand this week revealed their 'R Nine T' scrambler concept to the world which also goes for a retro theme. The bike was revealed from the very same show in France as the Yamaha MT-07 and much like the Yamaha model, was not confirmed for production but signs pointing towards a new production model in the future which would carry some of the same features. The bike mostly consisted of White bodywork and a tan coloured classic style, leather seat. Little hints of 'Baby Blue' and Green inserts can also be found across the tank and headlight. An 1170cc engine also is fitted to the machine.

A look ahead to the weekend Moto GP racing

We are two days away from our next thrilling instalment to the Moto GP 2015 race season. This Sunday, the best motorcycle riders in the world will take to the track in Catalunya Spain where the Spaniards in the line up including Dani Pedrosa and Jorge Lorenzo will be out for success. With two consecutive race wins for Jorge and Yamaha, he is closing the gap on the man who currently sits in the top spot in the riders championship which is of course the ever popular Valentino Rossi. Cutting back down to the fifth spot, defending world champion Marc Marquez will also be looking to make a name for himself once again after a bad start to the championship. Who do you expect will come out on top this weekend in Spain?.Let us know your thoughts.
