Volkswagen Tiguan updated-A new engine for the R8 and Huracan

The Lamborghini Huracan and the Audi R8, both vehicles are without a doubt two of the finest sports cars that have ever been produced. The success for both models carries on to this day and Audi will soon be looking to give out the next chapter of the R8 with an all electric E-Tron version. That's not the only change that could be awaiting the car though. The latest news is that both the R8 and the Huracan could be receiving a new engine coming in the form of a 2.5 litre five cylinder setup. This new engine is set for models in China and could be done due to the annual consumption on tax laws for higher engine vehicles in the country. There is no concrete evidence that this will happen so this should just be treated as rumour for the time being.

Updates for the Volkswagen Tiguan

It has been revealed that the Tiguan from Volkswagen is receiving new updates across the range and these changes are going to include a host of new diesel engines and the infotainment systems inside of the vehicles will also receive updates. Engine wise, the same engines come along with the car but power has been upgraded which now means a ten bhp upgrade now giving out 148 rather than 138bhp for the two litre diesel and the engine that gave out 174bhp now hits out at 181brake horse power. Thanks to some fine tweaking, all of the diesel engines are now also Euro 6 compliant with C02 emissions being emitted of 17g/km.

The new technology brought in for the updated Tiguan range

The engine updates for the car are also followed up by new technology which means that drivers can find a whole new sound system inside of the cabin. Eight brand new speakers and a touchscreen in colour setup is also included for the sound system. A Discover Media radio navigation system also comes into play with the App connection service also coming along as an optional extra for drivers which means which means apps from both Google's app store and the Apple store can be downloaded and operated via the cars infotainment setup. This could very well be the last range of updates brought to the current Tiguan as the new generation model is expected to debut in Frankfurt this September and go on sale from next year.
