Porsche bringing a new Panamera to market

We have some exciting car news to kick start the day today and it is coming to us courtesy of the designers over at Porsche. Over the years we have seen some great vehicles undergo testing at the famous Nurburgring which have gone on to be some amazing sellers and mainstream cars for manufacturers all around the world. Yesterday though the German firm were spied testing one of their best sellers already with a new model on the horizon and it comes to us in the shape and form of a new Panamera model. The latest on the car is that it will go on sale from 2016 and images have been posted online of the test shots which show the new car completely undisguised.

What new features will make their way to the Panamera 2016 model?

So one of the big features of the Panamera has always been its power and today we can confirm that engine wise for the new model, we will find both diesel and petrol variants consisting of V6 and V8 sized engines all of which will be turbocharged. Around 258 to 562bhp will be delivered across the range. Porsche have also confirmed that the new model will be offered in plug in hybrid format also. Porsche will be looking to make the car more powerful as they now will be using all new aluminium architecture inside of the vehicle. The car will also run on the same platform as the next R8 from Audi and the Bentley Continental models in the form of the MSB platform newly developed by the Volkswagen Group.

With a new model entering the market, you can also expect to see some new features brought into play styling and design wise and that is exactly what Porsche deliver upon. New additions such as LED headlights and a larger rear wing which has been designed in order to improve wind down-force.

How much is the new Panamera expected to sell for?

Porsche remain silent on how much the new and improved car will go on sale for but the current Panamera in the range kicks off from £63,913 with range topping models at £131,152. A slight increase on these prices could be expected but this is yet to be confirmed. Porsche will look to announce more information on the car including its specification levels closer to the vehicles time of launch and we are looking forward to hearing more about the new motor.
