Mitsubishi Outlander teased-Polo three door to be axed-Honda CR-Z updates

Mitsubishi have teased a brand new Outlander model which is said to be going on sale from next year. The brand revealed the car by posting a teaser image online which revealed the front end of the vehicle showing its headlight design with what appears to be two chrome bars with the brand logo placed in the centre. The teaser revealed that the brand new model will be put on display for the first time ever from the upcoming New York Motor Show and will also feature a plug in hybrid version which is confirmed for the United States but on the European market is yet to be confirmed. The car is said to go on sale from April of next year but the first glimpse will come from the New York Motor Show on the 2nd of April.

Honda looking to make the CR-Z bigger and better

We now have some of the latest news making its way out of the Honda brand which suggests that the company are planning to update their CR-Z model. The CR-Z has not proven to be the best seller that the brand offer but with some new power updates, that could be all set to change. An insider for the company has confirmed that the work on the vehicle has begun and the car can be expected to go on sale from 2017. The firm have stated that a 2.0 litre, turbocharged i-VTEC engine is going to come along the car which would see the engine range shared with the Civic Type R. From this particular engine it is believed that 200 brake horse power or around that area is going to make its way out of the car. Sales were that low for the car that from next year, the firm dropped the car form their line up here in Europe. No information has been stated as to what countries will get the new model in 2017 or whether it will return to the streets of the United Kingdom but it would be interesting to see how this big change could affect sales for the car.

Goodbye to the three door Volkswagen Polo

The Volkswagen Group are looking to cut some of their least popular vehicles from their range in the future with hopes of saving financially. One of the big models that is set to get dropped from the line up however is the three door version of the Polo. The brand stated that the demand for three door models like this is rapidly declining hence their choice to axe these cars. The firm have announced that with the three door model being dropped from the range, in the future they will only focus on five door models. The brand have stated that amongst dropping the car from their range, they will also focus on offering more equipment as standard with cars rather than having long lists of optional extras. We may still be quite some way away from the car leaving the range, but we would expect to see some of these changes come into play from later this year.
